Growing in the country on a farm and living in a small rural community has given Sharon an appreciation for all things nature has to show us from beautiful sunsets to amazing flora and fauna. She has taken photos of these gems and expanded them into her “quilting stash of ideas”.   She has pursued her passion for quilting since 2008 and has grown blossomed, and challenged herself at an unexpected speed. Having a creative and inventive personality Sharon also enjoys experimenting and encourages her students to develop this in their work.

She loves to see her students leave her classes having the knowledge and eagerness to complete their projects, having her students grow in confidence and skill is always the end goal.

Sharon has the most amazing supportive husband, and three teenage children. Two boys and a girl and they have all made their own bed quilts which show off each of their individual personalities.

Sharon runs basic classes regularly from her Store and studio. She has tutored at the - 2010 New Zealand Long Arm Quilters Conference in Cambridge; - Taupo Symposium Fabric Art Festival in 2013. Sharon’s quilt “Radio Waves” was accepted to hang at Taupo Symposium 2013 and she was a finalist in the 2011 Hoffman Challenge.
